186 Don't Just Sit There

186 Don't Just Sit There

Growing up, my parents instilled an attitude that I still believe to this day. Don’t just sit there if you see someone needing help, you help them.   Overuse of agricultural water has caused much suffering in Yemen. Technical and social behavior changes are needed. So, do we just sit there as we see hardship taking place or do we contribute to solving the problem? Water is a Many Splendor’ed Thing brings you another water relationship that has a personally significant impact to your life.

Stephen J. Baker, producer of Operation Unite’s Living Water® radio series, “Water is a Many Splendor’ed Thing”, has completed 258 episodes from around the world since 2006. Each story is a real circumstance of one water relationship that exists in the world.  Contact Operation Unite® if you would like your organization’s water relationship to be shared with the masses.

54 U.S. Foreign Policy and Water

54 U.S. Foreign Policy and Water

Virtually every major U.S. foreign policy objective is dependent on how well the U.S. addresses global water. This is important because water and sanitation issues can undermine democracy building and poverty reduction. An even greater benefit is when relationships and trust gained by solving water issues manifest into resolving other key issues of conflict. Water is a Many Splendor’ed Thing brings you another water relationship that has a personally significant impact to your life.
